Spent the day riding with the guys who get coached by Time On the Water with me. It was me, Lewis Link, and Mark Moss out on my Malibu VLX on Pickett. I’m pretty sure we were the only riders in town as Nationals in Reno was this weekend also. The wind was definitely blowing, but we were still able to find a shoreline with some rideable water. Mark brought out his camera so we were able to get footage of our riding, and I threw together a little vid to put up on iwake.com. Check it out, more to come soon. Spring is in the air! The temperatures are getting warmer, the winds are dieing down, and the flowers are blossoming. I’m not sure if its because of the transformation from winter to warmth, but spring is amazing. Myself and many riders, spring represents the time to get into gear and start riding our faces off to get ready for the mayham of summer. Over the last couple years i’ve come to appreciate spring time more than any other time of year. For wakeboarding, its the time of year that brings riders back to their roots and re creates the love of the sport. During the summer, we’re always traveling, always competing, and never seem to slow down. Needless to say, it gets hecktic and begins to feel like a job at times. Spring is the season to ride with friends, push each other to new tricks, and enjoy being on the boat…..why we started wakeboard right? It gives me that boost of enjoyment and rememberance of why i got into the sport that allows me to push hard all the way through the summer and fall. Its a new beggining to the year for me, and the opportunity to take advantage of a new season. So, for anyone out there, now is the time to get out and ride (maybe not if your in some of the northern states) and enjoy it for why we all started riding sideways behind the boat in the first place.
Finally getting my wakeboard blog up! Less than a week before I head to Abu Dhabi for the first World Tour stop. Been riding everyday getting ready. Stoked to travel outside North America for the first time in my life, figured Abu Dhabi would be a good place to start. Planning on updating photos and videos before the trip so the site will be looking good. Also, Nascar Daytona 500 vid coming soon!
